A story of land, passion and Apulian roots
There is an ancient story that flows through the vineyards of Sammichele di Bari and the sun-drenched fields of Casamassima, Gioia del Colle and Acquaviva delle Fonti.
It is the story of the Rossi family, guardians of a noble and generous land that once belonged to Count Michele Vaaz and then to Princes Enrico and Francesco Saverio Caracciolo di Vietri.
It is the story of Centovignali, an authentic expression of a Puglia that lives in its fruits, its wine and the memory of those who cultivate it with love.
In 1970, the family respectfully embraced this agricultural heritage, purchasing part of the farms and, a few years later, in 1978, establishing the F.lli Rossi Agricultural Company: a project rooted in the land and growing with the seasons, looking to the future while remaining anchored to tradition.
In 2004, under the passionate leadership of Vito Rossi, the vision became clearer and more courageous: believing in the value of native grape varieties and the vocation of this territory, the company converted 25 hectares of vineyards to espalier systems dedicated to Primitivo, the great protagonist of viticulture in Southern Italy.
The CENTOVIGNALI brand pays homage to places and traditions.
Its etymology refers to the historical events of Sammichele di Bari, once known as Casa Vaaz, and its first hundred houses, the vignali, characterised by a vine branch above the door.
From the vine to the olive tree,
tradition becomes excellence
30 hectares featuring a new trellis system dedicated to three major historic grape varieties of southern Italy: Primitivo, Fiano, and Susumaniello.

My collaboration with the Centovignali winery stems from a coincidence that is actually very causal; just like everything else, a great wine is born from pure alchemy made up of intuition, taste and aroma, and is created through technique and careful agronomic research.
“I drank Centovignali’s Pentimone in Puglia, which literally blew me away. Supported by a full-bodied but elegant grape variety, it highlights the territoriality of Puglia through the Primitivo di Gioia del Colle, making this excellent red wine special on the nose and palate. Indellicato, Serviano and Frassanito are also wines of great personality, among the greatest rosés of Puglia, with aromas of rose, cherry and almonds.”
